This recipe was created when I was busily preparing food for one of my recent workshops. My staff were all working so hard preparing the ingredients for the following day that they forgot to eat! So I went into action and whipped up this spinach soup and within 8 minutes we were enjoying it, making this the fastest spinach soup ever!
Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients (except hemp) in a blender and blend on high till silky smooth. 2. Top with hemp seeds and enjoy.
Makes 3 cups (750 mL).
Food Tip: Hemp Hearts are the shelled hemp seeds. I prefer using Manitoba Harvest because their quality is amazing! For more information, visit their website at www.manitobaharvest.com.

I throw hemp hearts and ground flax into most everything, especially my spinach smoothy. I picked up a hemp brand called "Hemp Hearts" last week, only because of the most interesting reading material on the outside of the container. It starts off with, "Ancient Tribal Foods For Health Accuses the Canadian Government of Nutritional Genocide"...and it went on, just HAD to bring it home and read the rest:)
I'll next look for Manitoba Harvest.
The politics of hemp is quite crazy. There are so many wonderful things that can be done with hemp yet the so called "War on Drugs", is hampering the progress that could be made on products such as food, clothing, paper, etc.
Here is a great new video by Manitoba Harvest on their harvesting process. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT7nNKDjpWs&feature=related

If so, a trip to Walmart is in order:)

Can you let me know how much tamarind goes in to the goat curry..and when does the rum get added???
and then there is the PGx and the Dasheen. I'm not sure what they are?
Thanks
Judy
Here are the answers to your questions:
2 tbs of Tamarind, add the rum at the last moment and PGX and Dasheen can be found in a health food store.
Cheers! Julie
You can pick up Coconut butter at any health food store. The Loblaws Superstores are now stocking it too.

Julie
